As you may know, Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 is an internationally recognized testing and certification system for textile and apparel production.  Products carrying the certification are guaranteed to be free of harmful substances and chemicals.  Obtaining a certification requires annual assessment and testing by independent test institutes as well as ongoing product monitoring by auditors from the Oeko-Tex association.  This leads to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 being one of the most stringent product safety standards in the world.

In 2004 Gildan became the first of its peers to receive Oeko-Tex 100 certification, and each and every year after that we have continued to seek and obtain this certification.  Why such a determined focus on our part?
